Employee Relations Advisor
ER Advisor with a vibrant and fun business…
Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor
Location: Home-Based initially but working location in future will be in the City of London
Contract type: Permanent
Reward: Circa £30k but may flex to £35k for a superstar
Duration: This is a rolling contract, initial contract period may be around 2 months
What can we tell you about this fantastic client?
We don’t want to say too much about what the client does at the moment as that would ruin the surprise.
What we can say is that this is a really lovely business with great people that love what they do. When there is eventually a return to normality, you will be working in a noisy and vibrant office with hard working and good-humoured colleagues. It is a sociable atmosphere whilst offering an environment that is respectful and understanding of how busy people can be in HR.
There is a broad spectrum of ER work and this is where you come in. Currently the HR Business Partners are picking up ER work and this role has been created to alleviate them of that workload so that they can focus on other areas.
Who are we looking for?
We looking for someone who can handle a high volume of case load which can be anything from a probation review to a tribunal case and everything in between. The client has a mix of disciplinary and grievance work that needs picking up. There is nothing overly complex and is pretty run of the mill in a sales led work environment.
We would like to see someone from a Commercial environment, who is used to dealing with volume but also is pretty resilient and highly organised.
Whoever does this role will need to have sufficient nous and employment law understanding and you should relish the opportunity to revamp processes, letters and templates and to coach and train line managers on ER.
Essentially, we are after someone with strong knowledge of employment law, the processes around ER case work and a good amount of common sense that enables you to know when a formal approach is required.
This would suit someone working as an ER Case Advisor or it might suit a generalist that has handled high volumes of ER case work.
