Main Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the Board leads and HR team to support the firm's Responsible Business vision, strategy and objectives.
  • Manage and deliver Diversity and Inclusion, and Community Engagement initiatives within the firm to support delivery to the 5 year plan and beyond.
  • Create an annual plan of activity in conjunction with the Responsible Business Board sponsor for each strand of the Responsible Business strategy and work towards the delivery of that plan.
  • Identify, agree and deliver a range of short, medium and longer term projects in align with the relevant agendas.
  • Lead awareness of best practices, researching and advising the wider HR team and Responsible Business Board leads on market information and any upcoming significant changes.
  • Research and remain up to date with local and national initiatives that provide opportunities for engagement.
  • Play a key role in running the D&I Committee, coordinating and leading on activities and communications to the firm.
  • Work closely with the HR team on key initiatives, such as developing the employer brand and recruitment strategy to support and increase applications from a diverse range of applicants.
  • Identify training needs and design/source suitable training material/providers for delivery.
  • Act as a key contact internally and externally for relevant activities.
  • Identify and develop relevant strategic partnerships with relevant third party organisations.
  • Identify and report on contextually relevant metrics.
  • Keep internal policies up to date with any changes to legislation or best practice, working closely with the HR team to develop and embed new policies when necessary.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Ideally CIPD qualified with experience of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement. Experience within a professional services context would be beneficial.
  • Passion for championing and supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace with a commercial approach and commitment to developing aligned solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and implementing activity and making change happen.
  • Ability to aggregate data and synthesise into communications.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business, establish personal credibility and confidence to have challenging conversations where necessary.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver project work and the ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Proactive with an ability to work independently, consulting where necessary but comfortable to take ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and administration skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Team focused with a desire to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
  • Up to date knowledge of current legislation, employment law and best practice.
  • Experience and interest in working with Wellbeing and Sustainability agendas is desirable.
