Do you have a strong HR background working in the Financial Services industry?

Are you CIPD Level 7?

We are actively recruiting for a Head of HR to join our financial services client on a full time permanent basis. Managing a team of 5 and supporting c400 employees you will lead a comprehensive HR services ensuring the HR function activities comply with current legislation and the financial services regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the management and delivery of HR support activities ensuring all the work is carried out in accordance with company policies and business strategy.
  • Establish responsibilities for the range of HR functions from talent acquisition; succession planning; employee relations; employee wellbeing to health and safety compliance.
  • Translate key data into an effective and commercially focused HR and people strategy, working with senior management and influencing them on the best course of action.
  • Give counsel and oversee complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases.
  • Devise recruitment strategy and oversee its implementation.
  • Co-ordinate remuneration policies and advise senior management on staff salaries, reward and benefits in reference to external benchmarks.
  • Control the HR budget and report on current and future staffing costs and initiatives.
  • Lead on HR projects; Ensure HR workstream lead for business projects and communicate and direct on strategy and implementatio

Knowledge & Experience

  • Solid experience as a Head of HR or Senior HR Leader working with the Executive Leadership Team in an financial services setting.
  • Experience in partnering with senior stakeholders across a company with a confident and creditable approach.
  • Able to problem solve and demonstrate strategic and operational skills.
  • Previous experience of managing and developing a HR team.
  • Familiarity of managing TUPE situations and able to counsel senior management on appropriate practice.
  • Strong communication skills


Desirable

  • Knowledge of pensions legislation or previously been a Pension Trustee.
  • Knowledge of Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
  • Experience of operating as a Company Health & Safety Officer.
