A highly successful retail, e-commerce and wholesale organisation with 200+ branches nationwide, this client is part of a broader global organisation and is on a journey towards a functional matrix structure. This HR role is integral to professionalising the organisation as it matures and develops.

Description

This is newly-created role to partner with senior functional leads across Head Office support functions including Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, Product and HR itself.

I am looking for a senior HR professional who loves to genuinely partner with their stakeholders, aligning Business and People plans. As the HR function is not yet fully embedded, you will need to be both strategically capable and willing to roll up your sleeves on the operational side - for example, there is a small shared / central service, but you will be point of escalation for more complex ER cases within your directorates.

There is a strong focus on talent management and development, succession planning and elevating the HR team to strategic business partner level, under the guidance and mentorship of a high-quality, newly appointed HR Director for UK&I.

There is scope for this role to grow to a genuine Head of HR position with line management responsibility for the right individual.

Profile

You will have experience of partnering Head Office functions at a senior level, ideally within a similar sector business (retail, wholesale, distribution, business services etc) and, in a perfect world, in an international matrix structure!

You will need to be strategically capable, but more than happy to deliver the operational side of a generalist but senior HR business partnering role.
