Job description:

Currently searching for a Learning Systems Manager to join a company in Surrey initially working remotely.  The interim role will pay up to £600 per day and will be for a minimum of 6 months.

The role of Learning Systems Manager is to ensure a reliable and fit-for-purpose Learning Management platform that is in line with the overall EMEA Learning Strategy. This role has strategic impact, as it will play a key part in the alignment of learning activities and reporting across the EMEA region and Global Divisions.

Duties will include;

·         Manages and leads an outsourced team that administers the delivery of online learning materials and courses on LMS; provides leadership to ensure effective functional support to EMEA Operations staff

·         Drives content management support – Proactively offers solutions to resolve content issues

·         As requested by Learning Council and business stakeholders, ensures provision of KPI reports for Learning such as completion rates and reports on a regular basis.

·         Provides resources to support and assist the development and implementation of standardized role-based training programs, working in conjunction with functional leaders, the EMEA Learning Council, subject matter experts, and process owners

·         Sets-up and maintains an EMEA-wide Learning Systems community of key users to support all learning systems requests

·         Provide recommendations to Global, IS, for implementing new functionality provided by vendors via upgrades, patches, and releases as per yearly cycle upgrade

·         Ensure allocation of resources to perform required testing related to upgrades, releases, fixes, enhancements

·         Communicate planned systems downtime to peers

·         Collaborates with Technical Support (e.g. TCS) to troubleshoot problems to determine root cause where possible, documenting effectively and escalating appropriately

·         Owns the EMEA Operations business processes for the Success Factors LMS and ensures documentation practices and systems are in place to monitor and maintain training requirements, history, and qualifications

·         Collaborates with Global IS and LMS BPOs to develop and maintain documentation of operational, configuration, and/or other procedures Business engagement and innovation:

·         Plans and creates clear compelling communication and branding materials for LMS to share with internal customers to maximise engagement as part of the overall learning brand 


The successful candidate will have significant experience working in Training & Development and/or Organization Development to include experience in building multi-layered reporting hierarchies, content authoring in a number of tools, managing multiple-priority projects, managing LMS vendors, including SLA/budget accountability and building a strong culture cross-functionally.  Experience of working in a global organization is a necessity.  You will ideally have strong pharma sector experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
