Head of L&D, OD and Talent position for 9-12 months for a Not-for-Profit based in Birmingham paying c. £39-44k.

The client is a NFP organisation based near Birmingham
Description
Fantastic opportunity to cover a period of maternity leave for 9-12 months as Head of L&D, OD and Talent. Reporting to the Director of People and OD, you will have full responsibility for OD function including the team of L&D advisors and trainers, OD partner and D&I specialist. You will provide day to day management, support and guidance to the team, support operationally if needed as well as working on key projects including embedding D&I into the organisation and working with an external supplier to deliver management development training.
The key responsibilities of this role;
- Manage, coach and provide support and guidance to the L&D team
- Work closely with an external provider to design and develop a management development programme to build talent pipelines and develop future talent
- Ensure mandatory training and inductions are delivered on time
- Work with HR colleagues to ensure the organisations culture and values are integrated into the Learning and Development offering
- Keep up to date on L&D best practice and new trends
- Undertake strategic projects as required
Profile
The successful candidate will;
- Have a relevant qualification in either CIPD or coaching qualification
- Have a proven track record in managing a small team and Learning and Development Professionals, providing day to day support and guidance, coaching and 121s
- Be prepared to get stuck in operationally if needed
- Have experience working on D&I strategy and embedding that into the organisation
- Have strong project management and delivery skills
Job Offer
On offer for the successful candidate;
- 9-12 month contract
- £39-44k salary
- Home working until at least Q2, ad hoc attendance in the office in Birmingham when required after that (Covid situation dependent)
