A new role for a confident, standalone HR Advisor to join an established SME in Southampton
Your new company
My exclusive client are an established SME with over 100 permanent employees and have continued to operate successfully despite the challenges of the current climate.
Your new role
Based in Southampton, this is a brand new role for a standalone HR Advisor reporting to the Group Finance Director, with support from an external HR consultancy too.
Although you will be based in Southampton, occasional travel may be required within the UK, but a pool car will be provided or mileage / travel can be claimed back.
Working hours: 37.5 hours/week (1 hour lunch) - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. The client are flexible on 5pm finish if taking a 30 minute lunch.
What you'll need to succeed
This is an autonomous role that will require a HR Advisor who is willing to roll up their sleeves and has the confidence and knowledge to set up new processes / procedures and develop existing documentation, whilst advising the business on changes that are required.
As mentioned above, although this is a standalone HR role, you will have support from the Group Finance Director and an external HR consultancy.
You must be CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum) and be comfortable in a varied role that will include: HR administration, recruitment / on-boarding, employee relations, employment law, supporting and advising colleagues / line managers of other departments and attending regular meetings to provide guidance to the Group Finance Director.
The ideal candidate with have 3-5 years+ HR experience within a standalone role or a small HR function. Although all industries will be considered, a background in construction, manufacturing or engineering will be an advantage.
What you'll get in return
