New role, new HR function in a Housing organisation undergoing massive transformation and change - engaging and developing the new HR team, creating a seamless customer-centric HR function

A Housing organisation (circa 600 people) in SE London undergoing massive transformation and change - a very exciting time in this organisation

Description

- Managing the HR Operations function within a newly restructured HR team

- Transforming the delivery and reputation of the HR function in this organisation, through effective management and delivery of a professional HR service that promotes cultural values, supports business objectives and ensures excellence through people focused policies and best practice

- Contributing to the development of, and responsible for the implementation of, a Human Resource strategy that supports people to meet current and future business demands and needs, reflecting best practice, delivering strategic aims, vision and values.
- Championing and developing the organisation's cultural transformation to ensure the organisation achieves high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Providing a "right first time", seamless, customer focused HR service to managers and staff throughout the complete employee life-cycle

- Leading on all policy and ER initiatives - delivering better solutions, tools and advice to management and leadership teams - Undertaking any complex casework - Coaching and developing the HR team in ER best practice - Ensuring that casework is effectively managed - Representing the organisation at Employment Tribunals and other formal bodies, as required - Designing and delivering ER training programmes for managers on a range of ER subjects.

- Managing change as is deemed appropriate which may include TUPE, restructures, and redundancy

- Managing and developing 2 direct reports (HRBPs)

Profile

- Very strong HR Generalist

- Experience in Housing organisations a real plus (if not Housing, other NfP experience)

- Track record of leading the delivery of HR functions to a high standard
- A senior manager, with proven management experience - building and developing a junior team whilst working in a fast paced HR role
- Excellent knowledge and experience of ER, advising on complex employment law and including union negotiations (ESSENTIAL)
- Experience of designing and delivering a clear, progressive HR and ER solution
- Change management experience including in organisational design
- MCIPD or Management Level HR Qualification

- An independent thinker, confident in fast-paced and challenging environments

- A demonstrable leader, who will bring gravitas and credibility to the new HR team

- Based in, or able to travel to, SE London
