We've all got high hopes for 2021. Very high hopes! If 2021 is the year you're planning on finding a new People Director role, then we have your perfect career opportunity.

Our retained client is a £450mn + technology company, employing 2,400 people, specialising in the design, build, support and management of a large proportion of the UK's critical digital infrastructure. It's not a brand that everyone knows well, however the services it provides to customers are integral to providing mission critical systems and infrastructure and to keeping the UK safe and moving. If working for a business with a clear sense of purpose and strong values is important to you, then read on.

Established 15 years ago, with a great heritage, our client has swiftly established itself as the market leader employing some of the brightest and best technology, engineering and services specialists in the UK and Ireland. With a strong focus on key areas including transport, emergency services, network providers and the public sector, it has a clear strategic imperative to grow further by offering new services and solutions to existing and new clients.

The current HR Director will be retiring in 2021 making this a superb opportunity to build on her successes and create and implement the new strategic people plan. Reporting into a recently appointed and highly rated CEO, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Executive team, driving and influencing leaders across the organisation on people matters. They will be actively contributing to business decision making, and establishing and leading an HR team to ensure that resourcing, talent development, management capability and culture management are aligned with and support the business and overall company strategic objectives.

As the organisation continues to grow and change, the need to embed governance and structure without losing the organisation's open and flexible culture is key. We're therefore looking to attract candidates who can evidence their success in driving through change and doing so, in a similar sized business.

The ideal candidate will be a highly influential, pragmatic, collaborative, non-hierarchical credible HR professional with a successful track record in building planful growth in technology driven/ services focused organisations.

They will be confident, resilient and self-sufficient with strong stakeholder and influencing skills.

The successful candidate is likely to work flexibly, however, and with main hubs in Warwick and London, it is likely that they will want to spend some of their working week based in these two locations, at some stage in the future!

If this role appeals, then we'd love to hear from you. This really is a fabulous opportunity to make your long-term mark in a role which will impact upon the lives of millions of people in the UK and Ireland.
