A leading specialist law firm is looking to enhance their Early Careers function with the hire of a Senior Manager / Head of Early Careers with extensive experience in graduate recruitment and development, or early careers as a whole. The role will be responsible for the line management of the Early Careers team, whichrecruits and develops trainees, paralegals and apprentices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day management of the Early Careers Team including objective setting, performance and talent management and pastoral care
  • Working with Heads of Resourcing across the firm's network to establish best practice and global standardisation
  • Work closely with the UK board on strategic early careers initiatives, ensuring that the offering remains cutting edge and prominent both in the market and within the firm

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience gained in graduate recruitment or development, early careers or HR for trainees, ideally within a law firm environment although wider professional services backgrounds may also be considered
  • Confident, credible individual with the highest level of senior stakeholder management ability
  • Open and friendly approach, in keeping with the firm's culture
  • Experience of and adept at change management
  • Inspirational people manager
