Customs Entry Clerk position available based on-site in Birmingham. This role is a full time position to start immediately.

Client Details

My client is looking for a Customs Entry Clerk to start full time permanent in Birmingham.

Description

  • Follow transport and customs regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.
  • You will be heavily involved with Freight Customs, from completing entries and associate documents in a timely manner to ensure the smooth movement of consignments through the port environment.
  • Dealing with queries, Customs post actions
  • You will be expected to be able to sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered as well as locate and correct data entry errors
  • The Customs Entry Clerk needs to be able to read source documents such as sales report, bills etc and be able to transfer data into specific data fields or onto tapes.
  • Supporting the Freight operations team

Profile

  • Be organised and have the ability to prioritise and adapt
  • Experience in the Freight or Logistics sector
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work fast paced and under pressure
  • Update the database to ensure there is a remote log on every job and the progress stage of each until completion
  • Work unsupervised, so it is important that you are capable of self-management and be able to select materials needed to complete work assignments without the assistance of other people
