Your new company

My client are a UK wide leading provider of care and education services and they are now looking to hire an experienced HR Generalist to join their newly formed team to provide a first class advisory service to their operational sites.

Based between offices in Stafford and Cannock, with some travel required around the sites dependant on business needs with home working flexibility on a regular basis.


Your new role

As HR Advisor, you will provide and develop a professional HR advisory service to managers and employees within the specified business division, ensuring Best Practice is delivered and employment legislation and the relevant regulatory frameworks are adhered to.

Key Deliverables

* To deliver and efficient and effective HR advisory service, covering all employment related matters, seeking professional legal advice where appropriate from minor issues through to dismissal.
* To maintain regular contact with managers within the business area the Advisor is supporting.
* To liaise with relevant managers in respect of their staffing requirements and ensure that the staff location lists are up to date at all times.
* To work in conjunction with the HR Coordinator to ensure vacancies are placed in a timely manner in the most appropriate advertising media and recruitment is running smoothly.
* To produce HR management information/statistics on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for the Head of HR.
* To check and sign contracts of employment for new employees starting in the business area.
* To deliver internal training sessions for managers or employees when required on HR related matters.
* To develop relevant HR policies and procedures to ensure the Group is compliant and adhering to Best Practice.
* To use and interrogate relevant HR systems as a 'superuser'.
* To work on project groups and undertake specific pieces of work as directed by the HR Manager.


What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced HR Generalists with CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification or equivalent experience. Previous experience in a care/education sector would be a distinct advantage.

The role requires a self starter with the ability to demonstrate working with high levels of autonomy and the ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organisation.
