Job Details

A newly created Global Mobility role is now available within a leading financial services business. Reporting into the Head of Global Mobility, and sitting within the wider Compensation Team, this role will advise on international income tax and cross-border compensation aspects of Global Mobility, ensuring tax and social security compliance relating to international assignments, transfers, cross-border employees, remote workers and business travellers. Working closely with other GM colleagues, you'll help prepare and review assignment packages, cost projections and assignment letters and help manage the Group's tax provider to deliver expert advice on ad-hoc international income tax and social security related queries. You will own the annual income tax return process, including reviewing and signing-off global authorisation lists; tracking the completion of tax questionnaires for authorised mobile populations; organising tax payments to tax authorities and monitoring tax refunds to/from the Group and authorised mobile populations. Key duties will be to manage and track Certificate of Coverage/A1 applications for international mobile employees, liaise with global internal or outsourced payroll teams on payroll instructions for international mobile employees, including responsibility for reviewing some of the monthly payroll outputs (e.g. shadow payroll, s690, Appendix 5 etc.) and manage UK reporting obligations for the international mobile population (e.g. P11Ds, PSA, Appendix 4). As a result the business is looking to meet candidates with several years' experience within expatriate tax compliance (ATT qualified) including international payroll and year-end reporting, with at least 12 months experience within an in-house Global Mobility function. Strong interpersonal skills are required to communicate complex tax issues both orally and in writing and to translate this into effective and pragmatic advice, as well as the ability to manage a small but demanding international mobile population with a level of agility to address their business needs. Additional knowledge of UK immigration law would be very useful. In the first instance, please contact Peter Francis at Frazer Jones

The SR Group (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
