Early Careers / Apprenticeship Mentor
Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with this highly specialised / niche Organisation based near Abingdon / Didcot to recruit a talented and experienced Early Careers / Apprenticeship Mentor on a permanent basis.
We've been tasked to find a resilient, organised and collaborative person ideally with a sector knowledge of engineering / manufacturing who possesses excellent influencing and communication skills.
You will be responsible for overseeing and providing support, additional training, coaching and mentoring to all of the Engineering Apprentices. You will also be working with the apprenticeship standard providers to strengthen the apprenticeship programme.
The crux of the role will be to line manage and supervise engineering apprentices, including carrying out regular reviews of their progress. You will act as the technical expert supporting apprentices in the completion of competency and knowledge portfolios, completing qualifications and preparing for gateway and final assessments, supporting them in their work placements and provide support and training to Apprentice Supervisors. You will be working in the wider Early Careers and L&D Teams in building effective working relationships with apprenticeship standard provider organisations.
You will possess significant knowledge of the early careers sector and vocational qualifications with demonstrable knowledge and experience of apprenticeship standards, assessment criteria and procedures with a detailed knowledge of apprenticeship programmes ideally within engineering subjects. If your background / toolkit also includes recognised training / teaching qualification Career development, coaching and counselling / familiarity with VLE or LMS learning environments - all the better!!
