As the Employee Relations Manager, you will focus on managing a team to deliver a commercial and value-add service to the business.

Description

Based in Liverpool and reporting into the Head of HR, this Employee Relations Manager role, will be an operationally aligned HR professional who leads a team of Employee Relations (ER) Advisers.

Your team will support a multi-site national business and manage all ER cases, from first line advice to complex / high risk cases, which can vary from performance, time & attendance, theft, drug and alcohol issues, ill health capability flexible working cases etc.

The role itself deals focuses on;

  • High risk / complex / serious ER cases (including tribunal cases)
  • Collate monthly data on ER activity site
  • Devise and deliver projects to proactively dismantle trends and have them addressed
  • Manage, support and mentor a team of ER Advisers
  • Work closely and collaborate with the rest of the HR team to deliver a smooth and consistent overall HR service

Profile

To be considered for this Employee Relations Manager appointment, you will have proven experience as an ER Manager / HR Manager / Senior Adviser, with a very strong focus on Employee Relations - within an autonomous, proactive and operational role.

As an ER Manager, you will be confident and assertive - with an outgoing personality and an informal, yet professional style. You must be able to communicate and coach effectively to all areas of the business; grassroots to leadership.

You must have experience within a fast-paced and dynamic environment that you have managed a high volume of ER cases - ideally within a private sector environment.

You must have experience of managing tribunal cases, within a Unionised environment.

You will also have exposure to managing or mentoring other HR team members

You will ideally be CIPD qualified (or be qualified by experience).

Job Offer

This role will pay £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience), with a suite of benefits.
