Global, listed B2B tech firm that has grown quickly to 600 people through numerous acquisitions. They intend to continue their growth phase throughout 2021, across EMEA and APAC. They have a post-acquisitive, evolving and change based environment with a matrix set up. It feels like they acquire on a regular basis.
The people team is expanding to support the continued growth and help instil best practice with the current business, in all people areas. This Senior L&D / TD appointment will be the first specialist to join the wider people team and report directly to the Global HRD.
The L&D / Talent roadmap has been created but it is infancy stages. They have addressed a change in PM, moving away from annual reviews to continuous improvement, and they are about to complete career review conversations. The focus from this point will be on creating a learning environment, focusing on coaching and soft skills development with line managers, including those new to management, and the evolvement of the new approach with PM. There isn't an LMS, and the implementation of this and suite of training material will need to be considered, as will succession planning.
It's a fast paced, change based culture with a post-acquisition vibe and thus agility and a willingness to be hands on is fundamental to the success of this L&D role. Although not completely greenfield there will be a significant 'set up' and development feel to the role and thus experience of working in this type of business set up will be beneficial. In addition to this you the L&D / Talent Development Lead will be well versed in all L&D matters and will likely have worked internationally.
Remuneration includes a base salary of £80,000 - £85,000, bonus, LTIP and benefits.
