Payroll & Partner Accounting Assistant £28k to £30k + Benefits - City
A leading and prestigious Professional Services firm based in the heart of the City require an individual with a blend of Payroll & Accounting skills to work alongside their Payroll Manager and their Partner Accounting Advisor.
This really is a 50-50 split between Payroll & Accounting and a brand new role for the firm.
Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager the role is as follows:
Payroll
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with the UK payroll
- Responsible for the Payroll & Finance In-box and respond to all questions and queries promptly
- Maintaining the Season Ticket Portal and then being in a position to authorise tickets and collection
- Payroll reconciliations
- Processing third party invoices
- Updating employee records accordingly
Partner Accounting
- Posting journals
- Assisting with relevant projects
- Assisting with payments and liaison with Cashiers
- Ad hoc reconciliations
- Assisting with Partner Statement Production
Skills required
- Payroll skill set and relevant experience
- Have an understanding of PAYE and HMRC legislation
- Experience with Payroll Vendors
- Ideally used Elite or other accounting software
- Strong level of Excel
- Experience of posting journals and doing reconciliations
- Ledger reconciliations
Other
- Ideally have a Professional Services background
- Strong levels of communication both written and verbal
- Business partnering/relationship builder skill set
- Have high levels of attention to detail
- Team player
