Payroll & Partner Accounting Assistant £28k to £30k + Benefits - City

A leading and prestigious Professional Services firm based in the heart of the City require an individual with a blend of Payroll & Accounting skills to work alongside their Payroll Manager and their Partner Accounting Advisor.

This really is a 50-50 split between Payroll & Accounting and a brand new role for the firm.

Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager the role is as follows:

Payroll

• Assisting the Payroll Manager with the UK payroll
• Responsible for the Payroll & Finance In-box and respond to all questions and queries promptly
• Maintaining the Season Ticket Portal and then being in a position to authorise tickets and collection
• Payroll reconciliations
• Processing third party invoices
• Updating employee records accordingly

Partner Accounting

• Posting journals
• Assisting with relevant projects
• Assisting with payments and liaison with Cashiers
• Ad hoc reconciliations
• Assisting with Partner Statement Production

Skills required

• Payroll skill set and relevant experience
• Have an understanding of PAYE and HMRC legislation
• Experience with Payroll Vendors
• Ideally used Elite or other accounting software
• Strong level of Excel
• Experience of posting journals and doing reconciliations
• Ledger reconciliations

Other

• Ideally have a Professional Services background
• Strong levels of communication both written and verbal
• Business partnering/relationship builder skill set
• Have high levels of attention to detail
• Team player
