Stand alone Head of HR opportunity for a senior generalist with a track record in a reinsurance or insurance firm. With growth planned for the next couple of years, this professional will have am essential role in HR projects, from Compliance to Talent Acquisition.

Description

The Head of HR will definitively have worked in an insurance or reinsurance firm previously. Applications without that prerequisite cannot be considered.

The reinsurance firm is headquartered in the US, with a small but well established London office. With substantial growth plans, the London office is looking to more than double in size over the next couple of years.

  • The role will be stand alone, and it will be the first UK based HR professional.
  • This professional will work closely with business leaders providing expert guidance on a variety of HR matters.
  • Work closely with the Head of Compliance on all HR related regulatory projects, like SMCR.
  • Manage ER casework as necessary.
  • Gather and evaluate market data to measure the firms compensation and benefits.
  • Take lead of both strategy and implementation of Talent Acquisition.
  • Manage Learning & Development for the London firm, working closely with the US to maintain parity with wider firm schemes and business strategy.
  • Monitor and review HR policies and processes, implementing changes when necessary.
  • Lead on a performance review system implementation.
  • Dual reporting lines in the UK CEO and US based CHRO.
  • Understanding Insurance/Reinsurance is a must.

Profile

The successful candidate will also possess -

  • CIPD Membership
  • Proven track record of senior HR generalist experience in Insurance or Reinsurance.
  • Up-to-date employment law knowledge
  • Talent acquisition experience, including interviewing at a senior level
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • The role will be home-based until Covid regulations allow a return to the London City based offices.
