My client, a leading global technology business, is looking to appoint a Head of People to have responsibility for the Human Resources activity for the UK+Irish region. The Head of People is responsible for driving the people management strategy and managing the local HR team, procedures, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the HR agenda in partnership with Business Unit / Functional leaders with the aim of developing a high-performing workforce, an engaging employee experience and enabling Business Units / Functions to achieve business objectives
- Working in partnership with Business Unit / Functional leaders to develop an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance
- Developing high-performing HR teams
- Key member of the UK+I Leadership Team, working in partnership with the CoE's and HR Services to action UK+I strategy effectively
- Identifying new opportunities and trends to share across UK+I HR and continuously improve the HR impact

Key Skills Required:
- Extensive experience in a generalist HR management/senior HR role as well as ability to influence and work with senior leaders
- Qualified CIPD member or equivalent professional qualification / Degree in HR or related discipline or deep generalist knowledge across key technical HR areas
- Ability to influence at all levels
- Strong track-record in HR generalist and change management roles
- Commercial acumen and credibility
- Extensive experience of managing a team
- Faultless communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough working knowledge of market employment legislation
- Ability to develop solid action plans and follow through
- Ability to operate in a matrix and global organisation, working across cultures
- Leadership capabilities in line with Leadership standards
- Ability to make quality decisions in the face of ambiguity
- Ability to adapt and learn, as well as drive change
