Brilliant opportunity for a Secretary to join a successful business. This role is office based.

Client Details

My client is based in Birmingham City Centre and is looking for a Secretary to join their international firm.

Description

  • Managing diaries and making appointments
  • Booking rooms and travel arrangements
  • Preparing and distributing papers and documents for meetings
  • Taking minutes
  • Dealing with post
  • Drafting letters and other documents, such as PowerPoint presentations
  • Maintaining filing systems
  • Answering the phone and answering queries
  • Using various computer packages - SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Profile

  • Previous experience as a Secretary or similar
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, including Word and Excel, and the ability to learn billing software
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Proficient in proofreading, spelling, grammar punctuation
  • NVQ in Business Administration
  • Education development International Diploma in Business Administration
  • OCR Certificates in Administration
  • OCR Higher Level Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Procedures
  • City and Guilds secretarial courses
