HR Advisor/£30,000/Caerphilly

Hays HR are excited to exclusively recruit for a HR Advisor for our Manufacturing client in Caerphilly. Reporting into the Head of HR,our client; a Fast Moving organisation with a Global Footprint. This business has huge growth plans over the next 12- 18 months. A well established local employer of choice, this highly successful Senior Management Team are looking to invest in a HR Advisor who will play a pivotal role, in driving the business forward through the People Strategy. This is such a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a hugely experience Head of HR, add value to a successful and established business and your HR Career to date, operating in a true HR Generalist capacity.

Your new role

 

  • Providing comprehensive HR advice to management and Directors/Board level.
  • Implementing and updating polices and procedures in accordance with best practice and business needs.
  • Manage employee records via the HR Management System (PeopleHR), including timekeeping, sickness and absences.
  • Completion of any paperwork in accordance with governing bodies
  • Excellent analytical ability, logical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Supporting and advising on all aspects of ER casework
  • Manage recruitment activities, from composing job adverts, managing direct recruitment campaigns through the Company's Social Media channels.
  • Processing applications, responding to candidates to ensure quality of engagement.
  • Working in collaboration with the relevant Hiring Manager to shortlist candidates, schedule and conduct interviews.
  • Issue Contracts of Employment and New Starter Paperwork
  • Onboarding & Induction of New Starters
  • Identifying opportunities for learning and development and working with training providers
  • Identifying opportunities for professional growth across the business
  • Promoting a culture of collaboration, cooperation, encouraging everyone to contribute to the success of the business.
  • Become a culture champion, working with management in all areas to instil values of 'Being Your Best Self; Delivering Excellence and Build Bonds'.
  • Ad-hoc HR strategy and operational projects - assist in customer audits (SMETA)

Payroll

  • Compiling monthly payroll information (overtime hours; bonus payments; absence adjustments; pay and benefit changes) for processing payroll with an outside bureau.
  • Checking payroll reports for accuracy
  • Working with finance with regards any statutory employee deductions, DEO's and CCJ's etc
  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Annual submissions to HMRC in respect to employee benefits


What you'll need to succeed

  • Great relationship management skills, warm, friendly, bubbly personality
  • Happy to network and engage and learn from others
  • CIPD qualified
  • Previous manufacturing experience; not afraid to muck-in when necessary.
  • Able to work flexible hours,as occasionally there is a need to catch up with people on night shifts (5am start - 1/2pm) or continental workers on weekends. Weekends would be the odd few hours at most.
  • Demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving skills
  • Produces high quality work in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage or juggle multiple personalities and understanding different cultures and ways of working
  • Someone who wants to take responsibility of the site in the next 2-3 years as the Head of HR moves into a Global HR role.
