About the opportunity...
We are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Advisor to join our Payroll team located at our Customer Support Centre based in Walsall. 

As a SeniorPayroll Advisor, you will report into the Payroll Manager and be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of 3 different pay runs, consisting of weekly, 4 weekly and monthly.

You will be working as part of a team who process payroll for around 18,000 colleagues.

What you'll be doing...
On a day to day to basis, as a Senior Payroll Advisor you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and inputting data into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and confidentially of information
• Dealing with a wide range of queries including absence, statutory sick pay and auto enrolment
• Supporting payroll runs across Retail, our Customer Support Centre and Distribution Centres.
• Providing excellent customer service to a wide range of customers, from retail store colleagues up to broad directors.
• Review and redesign the current processes and procedures that are in place to create a more robust procedure
• Implementation of effective reporting and checking methods across the payroll department for several payroll runs
• Working closely with the payroll team to scope and document requirements  
• Manage test scenarios and review the outcome to amend as required
• Support the implementation of the new system

What you'll need...
To be successful, your skills and experience will include:

• Experience of processing 5000 employees plus, within a fast-paced environment
• Exposure to KRONOS T&A system would be advantageous
• Experience with different Payroll software such as SAP, Chris21 & Oracle
• Must have 2 years’ plus experience within Payroll environment
• Competent with data entry and excel spreadsheets, knowledge of V-Look ups would be an advantage
• Experience of process redesign and mapping is an advantage
