Description

HR Advisor - FMCG - Initially remote working and then a flexible blend of remote and office based working. Can be based out of Leatherhead or Kingston upon Thames

Role: HR 4 HR Advisor and Employee Excellence Advisor

Salary: Competitive plus generous benefits package

Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday

Role Purpose:

Sitting in the Employment Excellence team but working closely with the People Experience team, this role has two complementary parts to it - providing People Experience support (HR Advisory support) to the HR community in the UK, whilst working on projects across the Employment Excellence team.

The Employment Excellence Team is all about setting the employment framework for all UK employees, building the capability of the HR community in the UK, mainly in the area of operational excellence, and taking the lead in employee relations and employment law.

If the idea of being an end-to-end HR wizard excites you, then read on!

Internally you will be known as a 'People Experience Lead' (PEL) and you will be the primary contact for all line managers and employees in the UK HR community (about 250 colleagues).

You will work with various teams within the HR network to enable a smooth end-to-end employee experience for employees' day-to-day HR needs. Using a client-facing, customer care; problem solving, and analytical approach, you will ensure tasks are actioned to the highest possible standard.

Role Responsibilities:

In the PEL part of your role you'll take a proactive approach to employee relations by recommending solutions that address root-causes of issues and taking actions for execution.

You'll be providing operational support and guidance to the HR director on performance improvement, disciplinary, grievance, absence, redundancy processes etc in line with local governance and legislation; this includes case management of these examples through to conclusion.

A PEL is fully customer facing, serving as the first point of contact for employees & managers when it comes to end-to-end HR policies and procedures.

Working closely with the HR Business Partners, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility and Recruitment teams both in the UK and globally, you'll be providing support and subject matter expertise, recommending appropriate action to resolve issues. This role also requires strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills in order to pivot support across the Employment Excellence HR Lead, HR4HR UK lead and the HR-ER lead for the UK.

As a member of the Employment Excellence team you'll get involved in a wide range of projects depending on the current agenda. This might include supporting the development of new policy, building HR capability in key priority areas, helping to create and deliver a learning programme or bringing your expertise to projects with colleagues in the wider HR team. Working in the Employment Excellence team is a great opportunity to see the bigger picture and deepen your expertise.

Profile

All About You:

- Strong HR experience, including a background in employee relations and case management

- Sound knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations

- Proficient & broad understanding of HR systems and processes

- Great interpersonal and communication skills

- Solid customer care and relationship management skills

- Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively, as well as ability to influence others

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively

- Strong multi-tasking skills with a comfort in maintaining multiple, often conflicting, priorities, and deadlines

- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
