Workforce Equalities, Diversity & Inclusion Adviser

The GLA is committed to having a workforce that reflects London’s diversity and an inclusive culture in which all our colleagues can contribute. We also want to lead the way as an exemplar employer in London.

This role provides a unique opportunity for a delivery focussed individual to work with leaders, line managers and GLA Staff Networks, to contribute to this high-profile agenda.

Based in the HR&OD team, but operating across the wider organisation, this role will help support the delivery of our important work programme, overseen by the GLA’s Diversity Inclusion Management Board which is chaired by our Chief Officer, Mary Harpley. You will be able to influence and forge relationships across an organisation, with proven ability to deliver successful outcomes in improving diversity and inclusion.

Drawing on your delivery skills, you’ll scope and manage projects, undertake research, analysis and evaluation, provide advice to managers and staff, draft briefings and internal communications and support the development of policy and practice.

We welcome applications for candidates with experience in delivering policy, HR, change or diversity and social inclusion projects and programmes. You will have knowledge and an understanding of workforce diversity and inclusion preferably gained in a complex organisational environment.

By working with us you will have the opportunity to work on a key Mayoral and Executive priority.  You will gain transferable experience and skills that could enhance your career development credentials.
