As Head of HR Operations you will lead the HRBP team who are currently regionally aligned to support the operational business in every area of the employee life cycle. Whilst delivering on strategic improvements through your team and alongside the leadership team you will also be heavily involved in the planning and execution of significant growth, both in additional sites and headcount.

With a Head office in Yorkshire and the Humber and several facilities across the UK you must be agile in your approach with a real helicopter view across the whole operation but with the ability to swoop into the detail. As a service led operation, commercial margins are important but so is delivery on customer service and experience, you will be into the detail of the people data to make improvements and identify actions for the operational HR Team. As a PE backed business they are an agile organisation but also heavily regulated in a highly competitive commercial space. People are absolutely at the heart of what they do so it is important that the successful candidate can drive those values whilst making good commercial decisions.

Description

The Head of HR will :

  • Lead the team of HRBP's across UK sites and HQ
  • Be analytical and comfortable using data to support decision making and direction
  • Lead engagement activities to drive retention across the whole organisation
  • Support moving the dial when it comes to performance and absence management across all sites
  • Take a leading role in a new HR and Payroll system implementation
  • Review Reward strategies and make recommendations for improvements
  • Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the regions, listening to feedback and ensuring the HR service is best in class
  • Working with COE functions to deliver HR interventions
  • Working with the TA function to revolutionise the on-boarding experience and talent mapping for future talent
  • Have excellent employee relations as well as a full generalist suite of skills

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience operating in a HR leadership role in a multisite organisation, ideally larger than 2500 FTE
  • Experience of driving improvements and leading a people plan
  • Strong examples of change management and use of demonstrable outcomes
  • Examples of using people metrics to drive effective change
  • A hands on and detailed approach with the ability to step back and think strategically
  • Have the communication skills to bring the people plan to life for both the HR and operational management team.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Aspirations to be a HR Director would be advantageous as the HRD is looking for a future successor
  • Experience of high growth and the requirements of driving rapid expansion

Job Offer

As it is a new role the organisation is open on salary but has bench-marked between £75,000-£85,000 plus benefits. Please ensure you state your salary requirement and examples of where you have delivered the above.
