Pioneering & Market Leading, Scientific Research, Development and Manufacturing SME headquartered in Manchester, who have recently undergone a period of business transformation are seeking to appoint a part time HR Manager to provide a effective HR operational support service aligned to the new business structure
Your new role
In this generalist role you will be responsible for proactively managing the HR function across 2 sites supporting the full employee life cycle with a hands on, solution focused approach, which will include employee relations, managing the HR inbox, supporting line managers, holiday and absence management, championing engagement and social activities, payroll & benefits, HR policy and procedure updates and supporting the senior management team with organisational change. This is a standalone role so you will be a confident HR professional with experience at Manager or Advisor level. This an excellent opportunity offering lots of flexibility and an open, non-hierarchical working culture,
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven Experience with a HR Advisor or HR Manager role
- CIPD Level 5 Qualification
- Excellent Communication & Relationship Building Skills
- Progressive, People Focused Approach
- Practical, Problem Solving Focus
- Experience within an SME Environment Preferred
- Flexibility and Willingness to Support Wider Tasks & Projects Within the Business
- Experience of working in Scientific / R&D / Academic sector advantageous
- Ability and Willingness to travel and support 2 locations
