Description

Role of the Global Talent Manager - Talent Management in London:

Purpose of the role:

The role focuses upon the day to day management of the Talent, Succession & Development Review process, and leadership development programmes. This role provides global guidelines in regards to talent succession and development review processes and works closely with the regions' HRDs in communicating frameworks. This role will also be responsible for managing the talent review tool with support from the Global Talent Specialist in the data collection and consolidation to provide meaningful insights to support decision-making in people matters. This position will be critical to support the execution of the annual Talent, Succession and Development Cycle. This role will also support the Senior Manager, Global Talent in the management of leadership development programmes ensuring a holistic approach that is consistent and natural next steps to regional programmes as well as supporting the tracking of individual talent and development.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Management & Reporting:

  • Work as Centre of Expertise, supporting the Senior Manager, Global Talent in providing necessary expertise and support to the HRDs from all regions on the TS&D framework and how to deliver the process, coordinating data collection, and driving the annual timelines and agenda;
  • Ensure clear understanding of platform and concepts for TS&D
  • Confirm scope and prepare with adequate timelines
  • Co-ordinate gathering of information and compile reporting / analytics
  • Have a comprehensive view and understanding of all regional practices;
  • Develop, initiate and support the evolution of the TS&D Review processes and practices to ensure a strong pipeline of successors, top talent and required capabilities are met in the short, medium and long term;
  • Support the associated projects that help develop the framework and approach;
  • Manage the Talent tool that supports the Talent, Succession and Development Review process, including updating scopes, annual reporting, data feeds and dependencies with support from the Global Talent Specialist;
  • Ensure the talent reporting is consistent with Talent processes and ensures insights in Talent challenges from a D&I perspective (e.g. gender diversity HiPo review etc,)
  • Work closely with the Global Talent Specialist to coordinate data collection and consolidation, translating those data into insights that drive people related action plans at every level;
  • Provide insights and reporting to support presentations to the Executive Board, the Main Board and the senior leadership teams within the business and the HR & Talent Community;

Programme Management:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, Global Talent to ensure all Leadership Development programmes are executed to a high standard
  • Liaising with external consultants and vendors in the programme management of Leadership Development programmes
  • Support in the creation, redesign and or adaptation of leadership development programmes to ensure they are fit for purpose and effective.
  • Ensure the tracking of development programmes are aligned to strategic goals and the effectiveness of the programmes.
  • Ensure the tracking of individual participants progression as a result of development programmes and as they align to D&I objectives

Profile

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Talent Management function at regional or group level
  • Preferably previous experience in an HRBP role and overview of a HR generalist role
  • Fluent in English. Any other language is a strong plus (Spanish, French, German)
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven mind-set
  • Strong reporting experience
