Your new role
As People Advisor you will be provide employment law and best practice advice to the management team on a daily basis, escalating where required. Manage an employee relations caseload efficiently and effectively. Assist managers on the interpretation of company policies and procedures. Ensure accurate operation of Oracle HR, Kronos and other applicable systems. Monitor the sickness reporting, taking action where required. Collate management reports for People Manager. Contribute towards the improvement of processes and methods of operating practices. Coach and assist front line managers. Support in delivering the People Strategy for the year. Assist with projects. Active involvement in the delivery of colleague engagement surveys and initiatives. There will also be Union engagement and liaison, in conjunction with People Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for the role of People Advisor you will need to be CIPD level 3 qualified and have proven experience in a generalist HR capacity. You will also need experience of delivering engagement initiatives and promoting this on site as well as a willingness to act as engagement champion. Good technical HR knowledge and understanding of current employment law/progressive HR practices. Ability to plan and priorities workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines and excellent Microsoft Office skills and experience of working with recruitment and HRIS systems (Oracle HR ideally).
