Ashley Kate are pleased to be supporting our client in Essex who are looking for an experienced Payroll Professional to join their team, reporting to the Payroll Manager.
The role is full time and permanent and offers a great deal of variety.
You'll need to have a good background in end to end payroll processing and if you have bureau experience that would be beneficial good too, as you will also work closely with the external payroll provider.
The main duties of the post are to:
·Assist the Payroll Manager in the provision of an accurate and efficient payroll service to all our customers, processing data in a timely manner to ensure changes are made to the monthly payroll as required.
·Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of staff data changes are updated on the payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
·Ensure that you prioritise your work effectively to assist the Payroll Manager to meet the payroll deadlines as advised on an annual basis by the Payroll Bureau Service Provider.
·Complete monthly payroll reconciliation and obtain relevant Director’s authorisation according to the financial instructions prior to the BACS payments being processed
·To ensure that all legislative changes are accurately amended on Payroll System where required and this is reflected in staff pay, in relation to Tax and NI percentages and Tax Codes, SSP, SMP etc.
The client has 2 sites based in Basildon and Chelmsford, so once the client returns to office working you will need to be able to access both sites.
The roles offers a salary up to £22,500.
