HR Advisor - Greenford - Logistics & Distribution

The successful candidate will provide a professional service assisting the People Manager in covering all aspects of HR and any responsibilities connected with employee and resource management. The role will include supporting a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that all contract objectives are achieved and maintained through the performance of people.

HR Advisor - Greenford - Logistics & Distribution

  • Provide employment law and best practice advice to the management team on a daily basis, escalating where required
  • Manage an employee relations caseload efficiently and effectively, maintaining consistency across sites
  • Assist managers on the interpretation of company policies and procedures
  • Provide a professional service to all employees, customer, the public and external organizations
  • Ensure accurate operation of Oracle HR, Kronos and other applicable systems
  • Monitoring of sickness reporting, taking action where required
  • Collate management reports for People Manager
  • Contribute towards the improvement of processes and methods of operating practices
  • Coach and assist front line managers
  • Support in delivering the People Strategy for the year
  • Assist with projects
  • Active involvement in the delivery of colleague engagement surveys and initiatives
  • Union engagement and liaison, in conjunction with People Manager

Profile

HR Advisor - Greenford - Logistics & Distribution

  • Experience of working in logistics is advantageous.
  • Experience of delivering engagement initiatives and promoting this on site as well as a willingness to act as engagement champion.
  • Good technical HR knowledge and understanding of current employment law/progressive HR practices
  • Experience of working within a unionized environment is preferred
  • Excellent PC skills
  • Ability to plan and priorities workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confidential and professional approach
  • Passionate about developing and supporting colleagues to fulfil their potential
  • Pragmatic, resilient and a self-starter
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships quickly
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and experience of working with recruitment and HRIS systems (Oracle HR ideally)
