The HR Advisor will provide a pro-active and cost effective HR service to the Group. Act as consultant and facilitator in supporting managers and employees in employment and employee related matters

Description
* Advise and support managers to successfully manage employee relation matters
* Establish constructive and effective relationships with the business units
* Bench mark salaries for permission to recruit and change of terms of employment
* Ensure that new and revised roles have an up to date Job Description
* Update or introduce the company's HR policies and procedures
* Managing absence issues including advice, welfare, rehabilitation etc.
* Develop, maintain and analyse a set of management information for example sick absence, age, disability, ethnic mix, gender mix, headcount
* Responsible for accurate and timely data input onto the HR system
* Cover the workload of other People team members as required
* Support Training and Development activities as required
* Support the rest of the HR team in ad-hoc projects
* Carry out any other duties/tasks as reasonably required
Profile
* CIPD or working towards
- Relevant experience working in a similar role/environment
* Experience providing advice and guidance which is appropriate and fully consistent with legal requirements, Group policies and best practice
* Working knowledge of current employment legislation
* Thorough understanding of HR policies, systems and processes
* Ability to communicate concisely and effectively at all levels
