The Graduate Recruitment Advisor in this people focused UK law firm will have ownership for the attraction and selection activities associated with the recruitment of top quality trainees for the firm. As well as managing relationships with universities, you will work with Graduate Recruitment colleagues, partners and legal staff on all trainee recruitment and graduate attraction matters. You will provide advice and guidance on a number of recruitment, attraction and selection issues.


  • Manage end to end recruitment processes for the Training Contract and Vacation schemes
  • Responsible for implementing the graduate recruitment brand and associated collateral
  • Supervise the Assistant, in organising all university events, including law fairs and the firms specific profile raising activities
  • Act as a representative at university events. Delivering presentations where required
  • Help to identify new pools that could be targeted to find top quality recruits
  • Ensure the Graduate Recruitment Assistant's workload is prioritised and managed and deadlines are achieved
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the firm's Graduate Recruitment Partners
  • Act as a principal point of contact for candidates, interviewers, partners, staff and careers advisers on trainee recruitment matters
  • Actively participate in strategic initiatives and departmental activities/projects as appropriate, both taking a lead role and acting as part of the team
  • Keep up-to-date with external selection/assessment developments which may impact strategy and where necessary undertake research
  • Support the Graduate Recruitment Manager and the HR Business Partner for trainees with trainee development, specifically the seat rotation process
  • Help provide impact assessment reports for the D&I Board and external recruitment partners


  • Demonstrable experience of working in a graduate recruitment role within a Professional Services environment
  • Strong client service skills and excellent communication both verbal and written
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to lead and manage meetings with partners and senior players with confidence and an assured approach
  • Ability to influence and challenge where appropriate
  • Professional, credible and responsive
  • Trustworthy with the ability to deal with confidential information
