Your new company
We are looking to appoint an experienced Inclusion and Equalities Manager in Manchester. You will be joining a not for profit organisation with a real purpose behind there offering. A well known business who are in the process of really exciting transformation periods and lots of change plans and opportunities to be involved in.

Your new role
As the Inclusion & Equalities Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing the full implementation and monitoring of the organisations equalities policies and strategies and associated activities to help ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is central to their business in both internal decisions and external-facing activities and the communities it serves. You will be responsible for assessing the overall I & E picture and ensuring that there is a new strategic plan in place to improve all areas. You will ensure that the business is operating correctly and has the right processes and assessments in place for any statutory duties, including the Public Sector Equality Duty and the Equalities Act 2010. You will have a wider involvement with further organisations and parties including LA and be responsible for engaging with these group and obtaining feedback from the community and there will be a large piece of work required in that engagement space. After an initial assessment of the business it will also be your responsibility to ensure that all key stakeholders are aware of the changes that need to be implemented throughout their departments to ensure everything I & E is being thought about when decisions are being made. This may also involve training & coaching sessions too and leading a programme around this. You will have the support of further departments including HR, OD, Engagement & will also have 2 officers underneath who will support everything you o on a day to day basis. A large part of this role will be I & E strategies externally and in the communities and therefor candidates need to demonstrate this experience too.



What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a senior level Inclusion & Equalities role
Experience of understanding legal requirements for businesses in terms & I & E
Experience of engagement and working with various partners and groups to obtain community feedback
Must have experience of coming up with I & E strategies & have had the experience of implementing these and owning the programmes.
I & E experience of external community strategies is also essential
