The Role

We are looking for an experienced Learning & Organisation Development Consultant to complement a small team of internal Consultants.

Some of the important aspects of your role will be, identifying opportunities to improve organisational impact through applying whole system thinking, enabling groups to explore ambiguous topics through your advanced facilitation skills and people-centred approach and by delivering innovative and inclusive learning solutions to meet the evolving needs of parliament.

You will effectively and compassionately diagnose and scope development needs by partnering with senior leaders, managers and HR colleagues at a strategic level. Some early priorities for this role are likely to be, shaping our approach to career pathways, coaching people at all levels, designing and delivering engaging online learning experiences and shaping the strategic future direction of L&OD.

It is useful if you can demonstrate a balance of OD and L&D expertise. The role presents an opportunity to shape your focus and get involved in a variety of interesting and new initiatives, and your skills, interests and aspirations will inform the work you do.

The Person

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • A professional qualification in organisation development, learning design and facilitation with substantial work experience in L & OD industry
  • Experience of working in partnership to effectively scope and diagnose development needs that achieve business benefits, judging when to challenge, listen, advise and coach
  • Experience of designing and delivering engaging and effective live and offline learning experiences that achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience of facilitating groups to achieve ambiguous goals, creating a safe, inclusive space where people feel able to contribute and make progress together
