An ambitious Group People Officer to join a established SME who continue to grow, based in Bournemouth.

Your new company

My client are a growing SME in the private sector who provide a variety of services across different parts of the business, supporting individuals and local communities.

Your new role

This is a great opportunity to join an experienced People / HR function with responsibilities across businesses within the group. As Group People Officer, this role will report to a supportive Line Manager, with further support from recruitment colleagues and the Group Head of HR.

Although the working model could change in future, this role is likely to be a hybrid work pattern of 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home per week.

Main purpose of the role:
To support your Line Manager ensuring fair treatment of all employees and effective communication between employees and other managers. To provide support and direction ensuring legal compliance and sound ER advice balancing risks and best practice. Proactively manage ER cases and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure work is prioritised and support is provided to colleagues and people managers.

What you'll need to succeed

This role is an excellent opportunity for a driven People / HR professional who wants to move on from an Administrator / Assistant role or similar.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a HR role / function and be CIPD Level 5 qualified with Administration / Recruitment experience and have led ER Case Work. However, CIPD Level 3 (minimum), similar experience and having supported basic ER case work will be considered too.
