A 6 Month FTC for a HR & Talent Assistant to join a growing SME in manufacturing (Chandlers Ford).

A successful, growing SME, my client are a leader in their field within manufacturing, offering specialist solutions for their valued customer base.

Your new role

This is a 6 month FTC for an interesting, varied role for a HR & Talent Assistant to join a developing HR function in Chandlers Ford. Although this opportunity could only last 6 months, there is a chance that it could become a permanent position.
Purpose of the role:
The role will be working within a fast-paced and growing business to deliver a comprehensive effective, efficient and legally compliant service for the company, which meets the needs of the organisation and achieves value for money. You will be required to work closely with the business leaders and line managers to assist building capabilities, plan and manage talent, and develop approaches that help achieve overall strategy and objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide administration support to all HR and Talent Leadership Team.
  • Assist in ensuring that HR and Talent SOPs, Policies, Procedures and Employee Handbook are updated in line with statutory requirements and good practice. Making sure they are regularly reviewed and continuously improved, so they reflect employee and business needs.
  • Keep up to date with employment law and relevant codes of practice and share with HR and Talent Team and wider organisation where appropriate. Deliver Employment Law updates on a monthly basis to wider HR and Talent Team.
  • Ensure operational HR and Talent activities and processes are correctly followed and are accurate and timely advice and guidance is given to managers.


What you'll need to succeed


This role will suit a flexible, proactive person who is CIPD Level 3 qualified (minimum), with a good knowledge of employment law and experience of HR administration and Talent / L&D (training).
