HR Assistant - Hounslow - Insurance

Overall Responsibility:

Provide administrative support to the HR function including preparation of employee correspondence and any other general correspondence as required

HR Assistant - Hounslow - Insurance

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for all employee and external queries
  • Provide first line advice in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Handle onboarding activities for new joiners including verification of right to work, reference and DBS checks
  • Handle offboarding activities for leavers
  • Support the recruitment process including but not limited to the production of job descriptions and internal and external advertisements, coordination of candidates via external agencies and other platforms such as LinkedIn, interview coordination and coordination of selection activities
  • Support HR Advisors with any employee relations and generalist activities as required
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with GDPR
  • Coordination and administration of annual processes such as appraisal, salary review and other audit activities as required
  • Coordination of learning and development records and statistics
  • Collation of information and monthly reporting on key HR metrics
  • Coordination of information with payroll and other internal systems
  • Liaise with finance team in respect of HR and employee related information
  • Production and management of PO process
  • Coordination of information with third party benefits providers
  • Production of ad hoc statistical information and reports as required
  • Provide support and coverage for HR Assistant/Payroll and benefits
  • Any other ad hoc activity or project as required

Efficient professional response to all internal and external enquiries

  • Efficient and accurate production of letters, data and reporting as required
  • Development of professional working relationships across the business

Qualifications, experience & type of individual required:


  • Previous experience within a generalist HR environment
  • Excellent administration skills including Word, Excel, and an aptitude for systems
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical in approach
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and conflicting demands
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Initiative to resolve queries and issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience of payroll administration

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision when required

  • Embraces change and is comfortable working in a fluid environment


  • Working towards CIPD qualification
  • Previous experience within a global multi-site, multi-business organisation
