HR Assistant (with payroll) - Hounslow -

  • Provide administrative support to the HR function including preparation of employee correspondence and any other general correspondence as required
  • Act as first point of contact for all employee and external queries
  • Provide first line advice in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintenance of payroll & HRIS system data
  • Submission of monthly reports to third party providers e.g. Pensions, Benefits
  • Management of autoenrollment activities ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
  • Coordination of benefits enrolments and offboarding including management of associated statistics and invoicing
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with GDPR
  • Handle payroll offboarding activities for leavers
  • Collation of information and monthly reporting on key HR metrics
  • Liaise with finance team in respect of HR and employee related information
  • Production of ad hoc statistical information and reports as required
  • Provide support and coverage for HR Assistant Support including assistance with recruitment and onboarding activities when required.
  • Support HR Advisors with any generalist activities as required
  • Coordinate annual renewals process for benefits including liaison with brokers and third-party providers
  • Any other ad hoc activity or project as required
  • Payroll administration for 4 payroll categories
  • Input and audit of all monthly payroll changes including new joiners, leavers and other ad hoc changes
  • Production of monthly payroll reports for verification by the HR Advisor and Financial Controller
  • Liaison with third party payroll providers to ensure all changes are actioned and processed accurately and in accordance with internal and external SLA's
  • Resolution of payroll related queries
  • Coordination of annual payroll processes such as salary review and other compensation activities

  • Previous experience within a generalist HR environment with a focus on payroll and benefits
  • Strong numeracy with deep understanding of payroll processes
  • Excellent administration skills including Word, Excel, and an aptitude for systems
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical in approach
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities and conflicting demands
  • Initiative and tenacity to resolve queries and issues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision when required
  • Embraces change and is comfortable working in a fluid environment


  • Working towards CIPD qualification
  • Experience of ADP Freedom portal
