A rapidly expanding biotech company in central London has a vacancy for an ambitious HR Manager. In the role you will be responsible for designing engaging processes across the full employee lifecycle as well as building all HR system architecture to support employee focused, forward thinking culture. You will take the lead on all operational HR duties, including:

  • Implement HRIS, from vendor research and selection to implementation and end user stage
  • Provide self-service training to all current employees and new joiners
  • Update any employee changes to terms and conditions on the system
  • Review all policies and processes and templates
  • Collect and design onboarding documents for all new starters
  • Create an induction process and ensure all new starters have an engaging on-boarding experience
  • Assist Head of Recruitment with interview coordination, screening candidates and onboarding process
  • Design and deliver training courses on HR process, policies, systems
  • Identify a suitable Performance System and set it up
  • Collect monthly adjustments for payroll, obtain sign off and ensure information is delivered to an external payroll supplier
  • Keep all benefits providers updated with joiners and leavers changes
  • Provide employees with reminders of benefits and how best to make use of them
  • Manage Employee Relation cases related to sickness, performance, capability or conduct

This role is suited to a "self-starter" who will thrive in a busy, operationally focused, generalist HR Manager role and can combine strong attention to detail with a structured, practical approach. You'll have prior experience in setting up HR processes and systems, and be driven and pro-active in managing projects, with a strong outcome focus. CIPD, HR, Psychology or Legal qualification is required. The role is based in central London, with occasional travel to Cambridge when government guidelines permit.
