Payroll & Partner Accounting Assistant £35k to £38k + Benefits - City

A leading and prestigious Professional Services firm based in the heart of the City require an individual with a blend of Payroll & Accounting skills to work alongside their Payroll Manager and their Partner Accounting Advisor.

This really is a 50-50 split between Payroll & Accounting and a brand new role for the firm.

Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager the role is as follows:

Payroll.

Assisting the Payroll Manager with the UK payroll
Responsible for the Payroll & Finance In-box and respond to all questions and queries promptly
Maintaining the Season Ticket Portal and then being in a position to authorise tickets and collection
Payroll reconciliations
Processing third party invoices
Updating employee records accordingly

Partner Accounting.

Posting journals
Assisting with relevant projects
Assisting with payments and liaison with Cashiers
Ad hoc reconciliations
Assisting with Partner Statement Production

Skills required.
Payroll skill set and experience
Have an understanding of PAYE and HMRC legislation
Experience with Payroll Vendors
Ideally used Elite or other accounting software
Strong level of Excel
Experience of posting journals and doing reconciliations
Ledger reconciliations

Other.

Ideally have a Professional Services background
Strong levels of communication both written and verbal
Business partnering/relationship builder skill set
Have high levels of attention to detail
Team player
