A global law firm is looking for an experienced HR generalist to join as HR Officer. This is a highly-valued HR generalist role that supports a legal division in the UK and a number of international offices. Collaborating with Senior HR Managers and central HR teams the role advises on a wide variety of HR topics.


  • Work with line managers to develop and implement plans to improve employee engagement
  • Lead employee relations processes including investigations, capability and disciplinary meetings and support line managers to resolve them successfully
  • Manage sickness absence and occupational health requirements, working with employees and relevant teams to ensure a successful return to work
  • Support HR managers with cyclical processes such as talent reviews, performance appraisals, salary review, budgets
  • Responsibility for timely and accurate execution of staff movement processes including starters, leavers and global secondments/transfers
  • Assist with general HR policy questions in collaboration with central HR and finance teams;
  • Liaise with and support graduate recruitment and HR managers regarding trainee seat moves, qualification processes and interviews
  • Organise and facilitate elements of the London new starter induction programme
  • Contribute to HR projects as required


  • Previous experience within HR advisory is essential, ideally gained in a professional services organisation
  • Ability to successfully manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Proven ability to communicate with confidence at all levels and strong relationship building skills
  • Client-focused work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player, contributing to the success of the HR team through collaboration
  • Preference for CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
