Bournemouth University’s vision is worldwide recognition as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice. Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

We have the following opportunity for an exceptional professional to join our Human Resources and Organisational Development team to contribute to the delivery of an excellent service that supports the University’s vision

Forming part of an organisationally aligned team, you will ensure best practice in operational human resources and people management through the provision of high quality proactive, pragmatic and timely advice to leaders, managers and staff. This is a varied and interesting role in which you will support case management, organisational change, development and employee wellbeing.

You will ideally be a Chartered member of the CIPD and be able to demonstrate broad generalist human resources experience and also be well versed in all aspects of human resources matters.  You will possess a thorough and up to date understanding of employment legislation and have the ability to negotiate and work in partnership.  This is an ideal opportunity to further develop skills and experience and to become involved in more challenging strategic elements of human resources.

The above position is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a team committed to engaging staff and making a difference.

There are two positions available:

  • Position 1 (POSN101987): This position is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 14 January 2022 to cover the maternity leave of an established member of staff. Consideration may also be given to the post being offered as a secondment opportunity but this would need to be discussed with their line managers prior to application.
  • Position 2 (POSN100754): This position is offered on a full time, established basis.

For an informal discussion, please contact Zoe Challen, Head of Partnerships and Employee Relations on via email at zchallen@bournemouth.ac.uk
