The Online Learning & Knowledge Manager Job

Oakleaf Partnership is looking for an experienced Online Learning and Knowledge Manager for a fast-paced tech company. The job is on an initial 8-month fixed term contract.

What you will be doing:

The Online Learning & Knowledge Manager is accountable for developing a knowledge management infrastructure and strategy and designing a technical and functional skills curriculum within their Absorb Learning Management System to ensure they capture, share and make best use of the internal knowledge, expertise and best practice which exists across the business to strengthen on-the-job performance of all colleagues.

The focus will be to deliver and sustain business and people performance improvements.

Responsibilities

  • You might be facilitating focus groups with Product Managers to understand the machine learning and artificial intelligence skills shortages which exist in their teams.
  • You might be arranging a working group with our Editorial teams to understand the challenges newer colleagues have in writing snappy headlines and impactful articles.
  • You might be working with Sales Enablement teams to understand the challenges they have in making product knowledge accessible to sales teams at their point of need.
  • You might be gathering experts and top performers in our teams of Analysts and Researchers to produce bitesize video content to build a digital Best Practice Academy.
  • You might be designing and curating content to produce an eLearning programme to upskill marketing teams on how to generate better social media campaigns.
  • You might be designing templates and a content strategy for Product Teams to deliver and maintain product management training for our busy Sales teams..
  • You might be coordinating and guiding the development of a series of expert-led webinars to share knowledge on designing podcasts to benefit our Content teams.
  • You might be researching emerging trends in the world of artificial intelligence and launching a regular AI Insights video series to help our teams keep on top of the latest skills.
  • You might be managing and driving course completion of eLearning programmes within the LMS.
  • You might be working with internal communications and marketing experts to shape

What we're looking for:

  • Solid understanding of, and experience with, the latest techniques used in the science of learning, behaviour change and motivation.
  • Blended learning design and programme management.
  • Absorb LMS (or other LMS management experience).
  • Functional skills L&D experience (e.g. developing job-specific training content for analysts, marketing teams, product management teams etc).
  • Strong performance consulting and analytical experience.
  • Design thinking expertise.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Blended learning and multimedia instructional design expertise (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, video and podcast production, interactive PDF performance support resources).
  • Curation of high quality, credible digital learning resources (e.g. LinkedIn Learning, articles, whitepapers, thought leadership).
  • eLearning content design and authoring (Adapt or other SCORM eLearning).
  • Strong relationship management across a diverse range of stakeholders.

Desired Experience

  • Experience within a B2B environment.
  • Experience with a Business Intelligence workforce -analysts, researchers, data specialists, product management and digital solutions teams.
