Job Details

A varied, part-time HR Officer role (20 hours/week) to join a growing SME within manufacturing - Poole.

Your new company

A growing SME with a global reach who operate within the manufacturing industry, designing and producing specialist equipment for various sectors.

Your new role

This is a true generalist role for a HR Officer to join the business on a permanent, part-time basis (20 hours/week), with potential for full-time in 12 months+ if you are interested.

Reporting to an experienced, supportive Head of HR, you will join the business in a newly created role due to the continued growth of the company.

The successful candidate will have supportive responsibility and accountability for the full employee life cycle, with an emphasis on L&D (appraisal / training) but will be involved in all areas of the HR function including administration, supporting ER case work, employment law, communicating with international teams etc. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Head of HR who has increasing responsibility for global HR and the Assistant Management Accountant who is responsible for payroll.

Working hours are 9am-1pm, Monday-Friday (20 hours/week), but there is potential flexibility around 4/5 days per week and start/finish times. This position is primarily an office-based role due to the sector (manufacturing), but with some flexibility around remote/home-working for the right person.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally you will be CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualified, but you must have experience in a HR role/function for 2-3 years+. Relevant sector experience in manufacturing / engineering / technology / production etc is preferred, but other industry background will be considered. This role requires a good knowledge of UK employment law (international law would be an advantage), the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of business and strong IT skills.

What you'll get in return

A rare part-time, permanent opportunity to join a successful SME within the manufacturing industry.

Your development will be supported professionally and financially and you will receive a salary of £15,000-£16,200 / annum (based on £30,000 FTE). Your package includes 24 days holiday + BH's, free parking and additional benefits.
