6 Month Maternity contract based in Bootle, Full time Monday - Friday

Your new company
My Client is seeking a professional HR Officer to join their busy team based in Bootle. You will be working at the Head office of a large emergency services department and be part of a professional and friendly team.


Your new role

Some of your duties will include but not limited too
To provide supervision for up to two HR Assistants.
To ensure that contractual, policy and employment related queries are responded to in a timely manner.
To maintain various HR database
To participate in interviews supporting recruitment and selection as necessary.
To act as the HR officer undertaking at risk meetings alongside Line Managers, utilising selection criteria where required as part of organising redundancy processes.
To oversee the day to day management of fixed term contracts and staff contractual maternity arrangements
To produce, amend and issue permanent and fixed term contracts, variations to contracts, external and internal secondments, secondary employment registrations, flexible working and other work life balance changes.
To ensure all employee changes are actioned in a timely and effective manner and work with payroll on pay changes and amendments
To ensure that all employees have the relevant security or vetting commensurate with their role.
To support Managers and employees on the interpretation and application of conditions of service.
To oversee the employee joining and employee leaver processes.
To oversee the probation and induction process
To deliver ad hoc training to managers on HR policies and procedures.
To communicate required actions to senior managers to ensure people issues are dealt with effectively and professionally.
To provide administration support to appropriate officers at all stages of the HR procedures.
Any other duties of the section commensurate with the grade as directed

Proven history within a varied HR background
Strong communications skills both written and verbal
Passion for providing a first class service
