A fast growing eCommerce brand are currently experiencing a period of rapid growth in which the Head of People is seeking an experience People Services Manager. This business has experienced 46% growth YOY and are looking to increase their headcount by 50% by next April.

This role will be responsible for creating and leading the People Services team. Ensuring that they have efficient and best practice processes and offer an exceptional service to the business customers, never compromising on employee experience. 2021 will see the business invest significantly in HR technologies - this position will play a key role in making this happen.

Key duties:

  • Create and lead a fit for purpose shared services team, delivering exceptional service every time.
  • Leading company-wide processes such as pay review and performance management from start to finish.
  • Building on Reward foundations and driving the Reward and Benefits agenda
  • Responsible for company policies, ensuring they work for the business, the culture and the legal obligations.
  • Develop a team of advisors to be the best that they can be, with a focus on personal development and identifying future talent.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor by building relationships with the leaders and colleagues.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous feedback, providing ER advice and supporting the performance management process.
  • Coach managers on developing their teams, building capability and identifying talent.
  • Support on the development of career paths to open up opportunities in the team and help colleagues take greater control of their career.
  • Support the delivery of the People Strategy and owning related key projects.
  • Facilitate any engagement strategies, playing a supporting role in action planning.
  • Build an inclusive culture enabling each individual to be the best they can be.
  • Coach managers on the reward principles and ensuring pay is fair, consistent and in line with budget.
  • Ensure structures and headcount adhere to OD principles and support any changes to organisation design.
  • Use data, metrics and internal/external trends to provide leaders with insights to inform business decisions, organisational structure and targeted initiatives.
  • Support wider people teams to build central solutions.
  • Live the ownership principles, always acting with integrity and due diligence.
  • Comfortable using and working with data to build businesses cases and drive solutions and improvements.

Key Experience/skills:

  • You will have a track record of reliable and valuable delivery and continuous improvement in a shared service environment.
  • You will have significant generalist HR experience and have managed complex ER issues. Experience working across a matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrable reward experience; developing and creating reward frameworks and incentives. Continuous improvement will be part of your DNA.
  • Experience working with senior management and leadership teams.
  • You will have an eye for detail and a history of delivering excellence.
  • Demonstrable project and stakeholder management skills and experience.
  • Proven leader and coach, that is able to set and achieve performance targets but who is also passionate about the culture within their own team and the wider business.
  • Team orientated at all times, with excellent interpersonal skills, down to earth and fun to work with. You need to be smart, switched on and able to work at pace and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • You will have the drive, energy, intellect, commercial acumen and passion to form great relationships across the business.
  • Data led and able to work with complex metrics and drive improvements.
  • You will enjoy working in a fast paced entrepreneurial culture that demands a great deal from its people.
