Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join our team on a full time (35 hours a week) on a 6 month fixed term contract. The role will be remote home-based so we are flexible on location. The HRBP will be responsible for providing support to the Firm in the development and delivery of a high quality HR service to the business, along with assisting the team and firm in achieving its overall goals.Main Duties:* Be the key HR interface across all officers for Partners, lawyers and Directors.
* With support from an HR Advisor, provide HR support, guidance and advice to your core client group, working with other stakeholders where relevant.
* Work with Partners and Senior Managers to ensure execution and delivery of all HR processes. Particular emphasis on: People Development, Absence Management, Performance Management, Change Management, Reward and Retention.
* Advise, interpret and provide guidance to partners and staff in respect of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and best practice specific to the needs of the business.
* Provide the Payroll team with support in delivering an accurate and timely monthly payroll process.
* Apply strong commercial focus and business acumen to providing HR solutions for the business.
* Provide day to day HR support when required, across a range of areas in order to cover absence or provide additional support to other team members, including maintenance of our HR database, on-boarding, recruitment and absence management.
* Prepare updates and regular reports for relevant meetings, e.g. Board, Partner/Director meetings.
* Support the Head of HR to deliver the annual bonus scheme process.
* Supervise an HR Advisor and HR Assistant and coach and mentor other junior team members.
* Support the HR team on strategic and operational HR projects as required.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience Required:* Graduate or equivalent
* CIPD qualified or equivalent, with at least 4 years relevant experience
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Office 2010, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Excellent organisational skills, demonstrate examples of multi-tasking and an ability to juggle competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills; effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal)
* A commercial and professional approach to work

* Must interact well with others in a sensitive and effective way - a team player
