Role Objectives

To support the Yorkshire and North East Region in the completion of compliance activities.

Key Result Areas

Standard Compliance

You will be required to ensure the Hays Standard Registration process has been followed correctly, this includes;

o Checking candidate's Identity and eligibility to work is acceptable and recorded correctly on One Touch
o Fully completed Candidate Application form - any declared convictions must be referred to the CRC team
o Fully completed Terms of Assignment, which is relevant to the candidate's pay type
o Full reference coverage for temporary workers - this will be dependent on specialism
o Any relevant qualification checks, including DVLA checks (where required) have been completed and saved correctly to One Touch
o Completed Job description
o Full CV history, dependent on specialism
o Check the Assignment Confirmation Letter is tagged back to One Touch for temporary placements

* Update the weekly compliance report, which is sent to the Directors on a weekly basis
* Identify any gaps in the compliance process and notify the consultant on outstanding issues and provide additional support when needed.
* Support consultants with any additional contract compliance which may be required in addition to Hays Standard Compliance
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Assist with the implementation and monitoring of new procedures/legislation, which may include supporting with communication roll out and training consultants
* Escalate persistent and high risk issues to Manager and Director

Education Compliance Support
* Upload all documents forms and references to OneTouch
* Call the candidate to discuss what is still outstanding*
* Complete a QTS or SET check
* Complete a TRA sanctions check and Children's Barred List check
* Request a DBS Update Service check where applicable
* Complete DBS ID Checks on online applications
* Obtain a health form (including requesting from, and chasing, the candidate)
* Request non-Education based references via OneTouch
* Update the timeline (where required because of references received)
* Send an escalation request (where applicable)
* Send a conviction referral (where applicable)
* Complete the One Touch profile
* Upload emails sent to candidates and consultants to the candidate's OneTouch journal
* Record phone calls made to candidates and referees on the candidate's OneTouch journal
* Providing weekly clearance scores for KPIs

Specific responsibilities may vary. Other tasks may be introduced to meet the changing demands of the business and to offer wider support to the business.
