A Policy Advisor is required on a contract basis for 6 months £45/50k

Your new company
We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled HR Policy Development Advisor to undertake a fundamental review of people related policies for one of our clients This role is to work on a key project within the organisation and can be home based.

Your new role
You will support, as well as lead on, specific policy development and policy reviews. Working closely with the HR Director and trade unions ( when required) You will ensure policies, guidelines and toolkits are legally compliant and reflect best practice approaches whilst aligned to support changing needs.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of clear policy advice, written communications and briefings so that policy delivery is embedded across the organisation.

  • Policy development, including re writing and creating new policies and processes
  • Making recommendations for policy and process improvement
  • Consultation with trade unions
  • Bench marking against neighbouring organisations
  • Creating project/change plans and relevant internal communications


What you'll need to succeed

* Experience of leading on the development and implementation of employment policy
* Demonstrable experience working as a Policy Specialist or HR advisor with extensive policy review experience.
* Experience of researching and implementing best practice HR Strategies and Processes
* A good working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
* Ability to quickly engage and develop strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.


What you'll get in return
