Description

Purpose:

Our people are at the heart of our business, and our HR Manager is integral in ensuring the people service delivered is an exceptional one and exceeds expectations. The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring a meaningful and effective service is delivered to all Entities within the Group, risks are mitigated, and our core values are echoed throughout the service we provide.

People Service

  • Deliver an effective and highly valued People service line with our core values.
  • Ensure effective and fit for purpose advice and guidance is provided.

People Culture

  • Ensure a positive people culture is encouraged and maintained.
  • Champion equality, diversity, inclusion and facilitate Make a Difference Committee meetings.

New Starters

  • Issue all new Contracts of Employment and Welcome Packs via DocuSign.
  • Ensure an efile is created and updated to include all new hire documents.

Leavers

  • Issue leaver acknowledgement email and calculate remaining annual leave balance.
  • Conduct exit interview and share feedback sensitively and confidentially.

Maternity, Paternity and Family Friendly Policies & Process

  • Provide sound guidance and support on all family friendly policies.
  • Process maternity & paternity pay in line with policy and process in place.

Staff Benefits

  • Administer all employee benefits, monthly, quarterly, and annual data uploads.
  • Run report on leavers and joiners monthly to update benefit providers.
  • Meet with benefit providers and review service offering.

Payroll

  • Prepare monthly data for outsourced payroll provider, including but not limited to; starters, leavers, changes, referral bonus, deductions, additions, increases, change of details.
  • Check all monthly dummy payroll reports against data submitted in the monthly payroll spreadsheet.

Employment Legislation and Employee Relations

  • Ensure knowledge is kept up to date, attend training sessions and seminars to ensure maintained.
  • Lead on all equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives and ensure all policies and processes do not discriminate on any grounds.
  • Use current external employment lawyer as sounding board for complex issues.
  • Flag any complex or high-risk issues to COO, People Director and FD.

Recruitment

  • Ensure Recruitment Agencies used are signed off by our General Counsel & FD.
  • Ensure Ts & Cs are signed and on file before engaging with a recruiter.

Mental Health

  • Managing all Mental Health support initiatives, sharing with employees the support available to them externally and internally and with their permission, coach their managers on how to support them.
  • Ensure we have sufficient Mental Health First Aiders - arrange refresher training and new training for those wishing to be trained.

Leadership Coaching

  • Obtain Board approval for external career and life coaching for leadership team.
  • Organise approved career coach sessions with external provider where approved.

Profile

* CIPD qualified
* Relevant HR / People experience in a similar role.
* Excellent employment law knowledge.
* Passionate about employee wellbeing, mental health, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
